Only a Professor...

Stan Oakes, the founder and director of Christian Leadership Ministries, gives an overview of the ministry of CLM. He says, "Christian Leadership encourages Christian professors to make themselves available to Christ for His unique work through them. We believe Christian faculty in the university setting are an irreplaceable and unique asset in God's plan to fulfill the Great Commission and influence the university."

Is God Unconstitutional?

Dr. Phillip E. Johnson, professor of law at the University of California, Berkeley and author of the book Darwin on Trial and Reason in the Balance, brings his acute legal mind to the many issues surrounding Darwinism. He exposes the deeply philosophical bias for faith in evolution held by the theory's advocates. This article is a summary of Dr. Johnson's fuller treatment Is God Unconstitutional? Only We Can Do the Job

Carol Valentine, teacher of English at Marshall University in West Virginia for 27 years, write to fellow faculty members, "While others can do the job in our churches, only we can affect the lives of those in our spheres of influence on campus." She shares examples from her years of ministry in the campus environment.

Academic Freedom and the Rights of Religious Faculty

John Whitehead, founder of The Rutherford Institute, documents how the U.S. court system has repeatedly guaranteed the rights of religious persons in public institutions through case law. He presents an overview of important cases with extensive footnotes for further study.

"I've Been Obeying Laws that Don't Exist!"

Scott Luley, Christian Leadership Ministries' East Region Director and Director of CLM's Free Speech Project, explains the Free Speech Project. He says, "We have put this material together so Christian educators do not worry about possible challenges to their faith, but know how to respond." This article discusses various resources available to university faculty.

Faculty Ward Off Censorship

"Hello, this is The Michigan Daily. I'm calling to say we've decided not to run your ad on Tuesday. A quorum of editors will vote to decide if we'll run it at all." Thus began an attempt by a campus newspaper to censor an ad placed by Christian faculty because of religious content. In the end, the story has a happy ending.

Into the Exclusion Zone

Dr. Cham Dallas, Associate Professor of Toxicology at the University of Georgia, led a team into the Exclusion Zone. This area contains the highest radioactive contamination following the world's worst nuclear disaster at Chernobyl. Dr. Dallas shares how Christian Leadership Ministries helped him combine his professional pursuits with spiritual ministry in this formerly closed area of the world.
